eBooks

Checked out the NetLibrary website, and think that I might be able to find some useful books/info on CSS. That's the next big step in the course, and I can't wait to start it.

I don't think libraries should feel threatened by eBooks. A lot of people rely on their librarian's to serve as curators, to a certain extent. They trust that librarians will give them the information and content that they desire, and that they are equipped with the professional training to do so. So even if they switch over to eBooks, I think a lot of people will still turn to their librarian for suggestions, as opposed to just selecting whatever selected picks are being advertised on a website. Well anyways, I plan on downloading a good eBook for my flight to Buffalo this weekend! It will be my first one, so I'm curious to see whether I like the experience or not.

  2. Tommy - Great post. Did you read about the Cushing Academy digital library? Causing quite the stir in the news. John I.

  3. I agree Tommy, that, library's shouldn't be afraid of ebooks. Anything that helps people become acquainted with books is a good thing, and may also bring them to libraries.
